Our Story

Ryan and Lisa first met in Portland, OR. It was Halloween 2015, Lisa was dressed like a 90s girl and Ryan was running around with a white wig and beard, wearing a football jersey claiming to be a “fantasy football player.” Many friends, Mac and Lauren in particular, were playing matchmakers and trying to get Ryan and Lisa together. It worked, the night ended with a kiss (and a meme*). But Ryan lived in Portland, Lisa in Seattle and long distance didn’t work out.

A year later Ryan moved back to Ketchum and not long after Lisa moved to the area to work at Galena Lodge. Ryan would make the drive up to Galena often to go mountain biking, backcountry skiing or have a family meal with the Galena crew. Ryan welcomed Lisa into his Ketchum friend group and was her guide to mountain town living. After living in the same place and bonding over outdoor adventures, Ryan and Lisa started dating in March 2018.

The adventures continue (photo evidence below), in the years since they have adopted a dog, Scout, moved into a condo together, still mountain biking, skiing, eating family meals at Galena and enjoying mountain living. They are excited for the next adventure of getting married and celebrating with friends and family!
